Easy Pork Afritada

The Filipino dish known as afritada is a form of meat stew that is made with tomato sauce, which gives it a great, pleasing thickness and a significant amount of salty flavor. This well-liked dish from the area is also characterized by its abundance of vegetables. The inclusion of ingredients such as potatoes and carrots helps to ensure that this meal is both satiating and nourishing. This is a different take on the well-known Filipino dish known as chicken afritada.

When it comes to the flesh, we don’t just use pig belly for our purposes. The inclusion of hotdogs in the stew may come as a surprise to those who are not familiar with the dish known as afritada. This particular component, on the other hand, lends the meal a hint of sweetness and a wonderful texture. According to the moniker, which literally translates to “pan-fried,” we just fry our pork belly in order to provide a texture that is gratifying for the meat’s exterior. In order to prepare this, you will not have to exert a great deal of effort because I have streamlined the recipe and made it so that the majority of the step involves combining the components in specific order.

What are the ingredients?

Because we have such a long list of ingredients, it is possible that the step that is the most difficult in this recipe is getting all of the components ready. On the other hand, the effort is well worth it because you will be able to enjoy a fantastic portion of pork afritada with very little effort. After obtaining two pounds of pork belly, the first step is to cut it into large chunks. Also, cut three large hotdogs into slices. In terms of the components that will contribute to the flavor, we will require one Knorr Pork Cube, sixteen ounces of tomato sauce, three bay leaves, five cloves of garlic that you have chopped, and one onion that you have also cut. Some salt and ground black pepper will also be utilized in this process.

Let’s also take a look at the vegetable components we have. Prepare two potatoes and three carrots by chopping them into large cubes for the dish. In addition to that, we will require one red bell pepper and one green bell pepper. Remember to include a total of three teaspoons of cooking oil and one and a half cups of water in your recipe.
